About Us

The BENEDICT Industries group of companies is a family owned and operated Mining, Resources and Recycling Company. The Company also has extensive property holdings with a number of developments maturing. The Company was established in 1966 as a haulage contractor to the mining industry and in 1978 the Company expanded into mining by acquiring a quarry operating lease in Chipping Norton. The Company expanded further by acquiring more quarries and is today one of the largest resellers of quarried materials in NSW.

In the mid 1990’s, BENEDICT started recycling bricks, concrete and concrete waste; by 2001, the Company formed a joint venture with Veolia to recycle a complete range of mixed Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste. Over time, it became obvious that industry required additional capacity leading BENEDICT Recycling to plan a dedicated recycling facility capable of processing this C&D waste. To be economically viable, this facility needed to achieve high product yields with low contamination rates across a range of industry wastes.

Our new BENEDICT Recycling facility at Chipping Norton was the product of this vision. BENEDICT designed and built a state of the art recycling plant, utilizing the best technologies available from around the world. Besides the traditional C&D waste, the BENEDICT Recycling facility can also efficiently process Commercial and Industrial (C&I) waste as well as a range of industrial residues.
