Earth Hour

We would like to tell you about an important global warming initiative – Earth Hour – taking place in Australia and around the world on Saturday March 29th 2008.
At 8pm on Saturday March 29th, cities around the world will turn off their lights for one hour to show that it’s possible to take action on global warming.
All households, communities and business are being invited to turn their lights off for one hour at 8pm on Saturday March 29th 2008.
BENEDICT will be turning off the lights in our building/s and on our sites for Earth Hour and we have asked our team to help by:
- Turning their computer monitors and lights in their work space off before leaving at the end of the week, Saturday 29th March.
- Turning off all plant and equipment before leaving at the end of Saturday 29th March.
Naturally we will adhere to our OH&S guidelines/standards and emergency lighting and security systems will remain on as normal.
BENEDICT is committed to Earth Hour and encourages you to spread the word by learning more about Earth Hour through the attached links and involving your friends and family. We also encourage you to turn off your lights at home on the night. For more information please visit www.earthhour.org
We look forward to the results of the night and thank you for your help in making this possible.
